Went out for a morning blast on the Skate/Disco 5.9 to wash away the hangover. Was heading back to the beach and decided to give a struggling water starter a break by passing downwind rather than upwind to give him some clear wind to recover his rig. He repaid me by losing control and cracking me over the head with his mast. I know I should have given him more room but it still hurt. I went in to get checked out (was ok) but by this time the wind had dropped off.

Went for the big stuff in the afternoon with a 7.0 R Type and a Ray 130. This turned out to be a very pedestrian board with an annoyingly long fin that caught on the sand bank so I swapped it for a XXX 109. A good afternoon slalom blasting.
